The Dissident that building acid line on this track is absolutely killer. heard the original a million times but this version has returned the goosebumps to the back of my neck. weapons grade acid that. thought it was supposed to be vinyl only but here it is and im not complaining Favorite track: One Night In Hackney (Regal Remix ).

Still relevant, still kicking the clubs, the old anthem One Night In Hackney comes back to town with a fresh set of remixes for 2023 going into 2024. From some of the world greatest techno producers. We have 4 stomping reworks from Perc, Miss Djax, Regal and Ayako Mori.

It's a killer E.P. with something for everyone and some great new takes on the classic track by Chris Liberator and D.A.V.E. The Drummer. The original was carved out of the air during a heavy drinking session at Dave's old studio and has since become a benchmark for the authentic London Acid Techno sound and attitude.

  Featuring a one off vocal with Chris and Dave on the mic together. They tell the story of a young man who visited Hackney only to find himself at one of the infamous London squat party raves. He gets bowled over by a load of drugs and music and to top it all off drinks 15 cans of Stella, the cheap, often warm and reliably nasty lager that was the liquid fuel for weekend long parties of the 90's and 00's.

I wish that "Mist Duck" would have alternate lyrics, maybe something like a description of a beautiful full moon glimmering over a lake, whilst a fluffy brown tabby cat is washing his paws nearby, his motor producing loud purrs. However, Perc made such an absolute killer job (only to be expected!) with this remix that it's become a guilty pleasure. It doesn't make me want to bounce on any fists any time soon, but the dance floor is a different story that nobody could resist! 🫖 🧞‍♀️ Sara-Jayne Arnold
